Transportation can be a very difficult business to follow if you can’t change with the times. Customers these days want there goods where they need to be and want it now. usually there pretty laid back about delvery times but there are a few who are picky. Running a trucking company takes planning and a very good head on your shoulders to make decisions. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect so bad decisions come and go. Thats how we learn is from our mistakes. I call them “Character Building Experiences” but everyone has there own name for it. Its about numbers and planning and don’t forget the human element cause if your rude to customers chances are they wont be back.
I’ve been driving for a few years now and i have learned a lot and continue to learn as i go. It irritates me to no end when you someone say i know what I’m doing leave me alone. well the roads all iced up and they pass ya doing 60 -70 Mph. I know what I’m doing mind your business and speed up and two miles down the road there trucks in the median. There they are outside the rig with there thumb up there but going i don’t know what happened. Hey genius i know what happened your an idiot and don’t know everything like ya thought. So the point im trying to make and this is just one example. When someone says they don’t need to learn anything else or they know everything stay away because thats dangerous.
