I have purchased new parts from an online retailer. I am goin to build a new one out of parts from the old one. I am looking forward to it and will post info on it at a later time.
Come to find out the motherboard they use in the e520 is about junk anyway. Did some looking around and found that out. It bit the dust about two weeks before the warranty expired so i called dell and they worked with me. The tech said do this, do that, unplug this, plug that in, needless to say it didnt work. Spent two days messing with it and numerous phone calls. I had to out of town and wasnt goin to be back for a couple of weeks. I quit messing with it and left, came home four weeks later.
I started fooling with it again so i called dell for help again. Two weeks after the warranty expired they wanted me to pay for a tech support service like 80 bucks. spent an hour arguing with them on the phone cause it was an ongoing issue. They didnt help and it was there faulty equipment use not mine. Long story short i was tired of arguing with someone that didnt speak english very well and didnt understand the concept of a person who travels for work.
My perspective on Dell is SCREW YOU!! Not gonna buy anything from you again…
Its school season again and just want to say support your local FFA Chapter. To find out more is the link.
Do you Know your FFA creed.
I believe in the future of agriculture, with a faith born not of words but of deeds – achievements won by the present and past generations of agriculturists; in the promise of better days through better ways, even as the better things we now enjoy have come to us from the struggles of former years.
I believe that to live and work on a good farm, or to be engaged in other agricultural pursuits, is pleasant as well as challenging; for I know the joys and discomforts of agricultural life and hold an inborn fondness for those associations which, even in hours of discouragement, I cannot deny.
I believe in leadership from ourselves and respect from others. I believe in my own ability to work efficiently and think clearly, with such knowledge and skill as I can secure, and in the ability of progressive agriculturists to serve our own and the public interest in producing and marketing the product of our toil.
I believe in less dependence on begging and more power in bargaining; in the life abundant and enough honest wealth to help make it so–for others as well as myself; in less need for charity and more of it when needed; in being happy myself and playing square with those whose happiness depends upon me.
I believe that American agriculture can and will hold true to the best traditions of our national life and that I can exert an influence in my home and community which will stand solid for my part in that inspiring task.
The law was passed with flying colors to end the cross border trucking program. But the Department of Transportation has extended for two years disregarding the law and the congress. I belive they should cut funding to force them to end it now and do it now.
In the last few weeks there has has been many commercial passenger bus accidents. The FMCSA(Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) has started looking into the safety rating of some of these carriers and its not good. Some of these carriers had ratings that were well, lets just say cancel the insurance policy written all over them. The FMCSA had released a article about the accidents and said they were looking in to it.
Ya well here is an idea. Just start enforcing the speed limit. I bet the safety rating would improve then. I say this because every bus i see is going 80 mph or so and passes everything it comes up behind. The FMCSA should look at there routes and scheduling. I have rode on a greyhound before and it seems like it stops in every town between point A and Point B. Reduce stops and leave earlier. I’m not saying it will help but it might and its just a suggestion.
I’m kinda tired of seeing passenger cars and commercial trucks on the side of the road all the time. Getting a fine for five miles over the speed limit with legitimate reasons why they might be going fast. Commercial trucks there really isn’t a excuse for it but there’s times it calls for it. Then you get pulled over get your log book inspected, your permits, your DOT Medical Card, and if your lucky a full blown Vehicle Inspection on the side of the highway. I want to know why these buses can pass everything and not get stopped and inspected like the rest of us.
Change start changing schedules, drop stops that don’t have very many passengers getting on and off. Start inspecting more and pulling them over for speeding like every one else its that simple at least in my eyes. But, I could be wrong, its happened before.
Its been a long week this week. I started out in Clinton, Il and ended up in Watkins Glen, Ny. I’m heading to Rochester in the morning to pickup and go to some town in Louisiana. Seems like this week went really slow too. I haven’t been feeling well this week at all just kinda slow and tired. Hopefully it will end this weekend and i get back to doin what i do the best……..DRIVE. That is.
