Anti Idleing laws, California Carb Law

Posted by Justin on May 4, 2008

Truckers have to deal with anti idle ling laws in a few states.  Two off the top of my head are New York and California.  Well your suppose to be able to have a APU(auxiliary power unit) and be ok.  In California there writing tickets for running APU’s.   This is outrageous.  Basicly put there are too many trucks in and out every day and not enough commercial DOT officers to enforce the law which is dumb in the first place.  Its just another way to get money out of ya so be careful.  It seems to me that New York has been leanint and understands how cold it is or how hot it is.

In California they passed a law requiring a carb label on your motor.  Which it should be there anyway.  It just give they emissions information and engine displacement and such.  But like i said earlier its just another way to get money out of ya for useless organizations who don’t seem to know how to spend there money in the first place.
